 Greetings Carfty Fam-Jam! Hope you are all staying well and creative!

It's been a busy few weeks, with multiple Craft Fairs happening and my husband's business changing for the better :) Thankful for the time to finally sit down in the office to get some Bloggin Done lol.

I belong to several Card Swap groups, and this swap was using the split circle card technique. I REALLY like how these turned out. There aren't usually a lot of Masculine/Neutral Cards done so that's what I have been focusing on. I used 2 of the new In-Colours and 1 returning colour for the recent colour refresh.

These two cute Punny Cards use the new Twisted Rope embossing folder, Zany Zoo Bundle for the adorable knitting Llama and the sentiment is from a recently retired set. I plan on making a bunch of these and other knitting/sheep themed cards for the local yarn shop that I volunteer with. Any kind of yarn or sheep themed stamps and bundles I've had to add to my collection. SO MUCH FUN

My set up for the most recent Fair we did. Unfortuneatley it wasn't super busy. But we had a nice time networking with other vendors.

THESE ADORABLE CALVES. These were done with a brand new Bundle that was immediately #addtocart lol.

The Little Dreamers Bundle is so so cute and features several baby animals. Great for colouring and great for any kind of baby card you may need. I'll be playing with this set A LOT more coming up so stay tuned for more inspiration xox.

Happy WEEKEND!!!! + a tip

 It's weekend fun time!! 

I've spent the last couple days getting my Mother's Day cards finished and Father's day Cards started. I have 3 Fairs coming up SUPER Quick!

I also wanted to share a tip that I often forget not everyone knows...

DID YOU KNOW...That you can use Alcohol Markers (or alcohol inks) to Colour your Embellishments?
Ever had a project you're working on that needs a little Sparkle or Bling and you just can't find the right colour? YES. YES YES.
One of the properties of Alcohol ink is that it can colour non-porous things. Like Vellum, metal, metal charms, plastic and Rhinestones!

I wanted to decorate these Mother's day cards with some Bling, just to give them a little more interest. But I didn't want clear or champagne... so I took my Early Espresso Dark Stampin Blends Marker and coloured the ones I needed! TA-DAAAAAA!!

Then I wanted to do some Spot-colouring for the card I was giving my Parents for their 37th Anniversary 💝 Love my Stampin Blends for how easy they are to colour with and for easy shading. (My folks loved the card btw ^^)

Playing with the Irresistible Blooms Online Exclusive Suite!

 Hi Crafty Fam-Jam!! I KNOW it's been forever since I have posted... but I'm here now!!

I don't know about you all... but I make SO many cards and a lot of them just sit in boxes. I have been working on sending out 3+ cards a week to brighten people's days.

I belong to several Card Swap groups on Facebook. Definitely helps me send out goodies as well as challenge myself to sign up and try new designs and techniques. 

The card I am featuring today is for my Swap Partner Judy 💕

It's called a "Pop-Out Gate Fold Card"

I was inspired by Wendy Cranford's online YouTube tutorial, she's a USA Based Demonstrator and has wonderful videos and tutorials. Highly recommend checking her out 😀

I embraced the colours in the DSP and used Lost Lagoon Cardstock for my card base. I used HELLO, IRRESISTIBLE 6" X 6" Designer Series paper for the outside and inside panels. Then the Stamp set for the floral design and sentiment. The original project calls for 4 pieces 1 7/8 x 5 3/8... but seeing as the DSP is 6x6 I can't get 4 out of the 1 sheet. Of course you can cut into a 2nd sheet, but I used that as an opportunity to add another space to write a note or greeting. I also used the scraps to make a thin Belly Band to keep the card closed.

This last year has been a BLURR for me. Seriously. 2022 went by SO FAST.

Between physical health problems and mental health struggles it was a tough year... a BIG shout out to my amazing support system xox I wouldn't have made it through without you.

If you're struggling...reach out for help. You owe it to yourself.

Crafting is my outlet. It makes me happy all over and sharing my art with others is even better!

MOVING ON...

This January when we were discussing our New Year's resolutions and goals I made the decision to take my online business seriously. The last year and a half I've just been poking at it whilst dealing with my brain. We did very well at the 3 Craft Fairs we participated in during the holiday season, but I didn't want to JUST be a holiday biz.

This Saturday will be the launch of my very first In-Person Class that I am hosting at my home.

The event will be the beginning of a series of events I'll be putting on focusing on new bundles being released from Stampin Up!.

Open House event on Saturday is a very informal class, more of a Card Buffet really. I've been busy making samples using 9 or 10 (not done yet lol) Stamp sets or Bundles that my guests can recreate. Each class kit consists of a surprise stamp set, pack of embellishments and 4 card packets of their choice. People can add on packets for $3 each.

I'm excited for what this year has in store for me, with my Card business and my Demonstratorship. Making money while creating art and spreading handmade kindness is the best.

Holy SHEETLoad of Cards!!

 Greetings Happy Crafters! Hope everyone is doing well and keeping on the paper trail! 

After about 2 weeks of ignoring my Craft room... I've made the effort to get back in here. I even managed to get some Father's day cards ready for my stash. (serpate post to come for those!)

That being said, I recently received some gorgeous Designer Series Paper in the mail I purchased from a fellow crafter and I couldn't wait to cut into it!! I have a soft spot for Berries (decorative and edible lol) so this Berry-licious Paper was just perfect. I also had the PERFECT project to use it for... #sheetloadofcards by Call Me Crafty Al on YouTube.

Alicia puts together a FREE Template every 1st of the month for anywhere from 6 to 12 cards, plus cutting guides to get the most love out of the Patterned Papers. All she asks is that you Subscribe to her YouTube channel (also Free)

I was very happy to stumble upon her channel through a Card Swap I signed up for on Swap-Bot.com back in May 2021 :)

The March 2022 Sheetload was for 6 cards using 6 pieces of 6x6 Patterned papers. I received my DSP in 6x12 sheets (easiest and cheaper for mailing) and of course being Stampin' Up! DSP it's double sided. Meaning I just needed 3 sheets for my 6 pieces.

The cards didn't take me long at all and turned out beautifully <3 The Stamp Set and the DSP are both from a previous Sale-a-bration that happened before I joined Stampin' Up! as a Demonstrator, so sadly you cannot purchase it from my online store...BUT if you're on Facebook there are many Canada Wide Crafters Buy n Sell groups. Which is where I found the paper and the stamp set for these cards.
